Welcome to the Paperbark Woman website
In my Paperbark Woman shop, at Shop 13 Arafura Plaza on 24 Cavenagh Street, in Darwin, we have fabrics which have been designed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders (also know as Indigenous peoples).
The material is often sought out by patch workers and quilters and other people who like to sew and create clothes. We also have hand printed textiles.
Along with the fabrics are clothing, gifts, and artworks.
APRIL 2022 – CLOSED until AFTER EASTER DUE TO COVID
Paperbark Woman is a small Aboriginal owned and operated business.
I am employed as well as my family members and although we are all double vaccinated, a number of us have several chronic diseases that may be affected by COVID.
Due to the above reasons, I am closing the shop front until after Easter. I will re-evaluate when we will open to the general public.
We are still here sewing and delivering orders by post. You can phone us on 08 89417142 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
We are happy to continue to take orders from the public or businesses and hopefully when COVID settles down at the beginning of February we will reopen to visits from the public.
Thank you for your understanding regards Lenore

Now supplying 3 layered re-usable FACE MASKS made at Paperbark Woman shop with Aboriginal designed fabrics.
PLEASE NOTE: I make the face masks to order after the shop closes, and as we have a number of orders at this time, the turn around time is about 10 days after an order is placed. Mail from Darwin to other capital cities takes about 2 to 3 working days by Express Post and 5 to 8 days by ordinary mail.
If you sew, we are also selling FACE MASK kits that you can sew up yourself (containing 3 pieces of fabric, elastic and fabric artist and story.)
